Truck Deliveries: Truck deliveries are shipped via common carrier. Shipping fees are based on the destination, size and weight of your item(s). Unlike most door companies, we do not up-charge for a crating fee.
Customers will be contacted by the shipping company to schedule delivery. Customers are solely responsible for any fees or costs (including, but not limited to, storage and re-delivery) resulting from customer's failure to take delivery on the scheduled time. Once your order ships, you will be provided with all delivery information, including a tracking number and the common carrier's contact information.
Truck delivery is "Curbside Delivery" only. When delivering to an apartment building delivery will be to the central lobby only. Delivery personnel will not unpack or setup the item for you and will not place it in a specific room. We recommend that 2 to 3 individuals be present to assist in taking delivery. Normal delivery hours for Large Item Shipping are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. The delivery company will contact you at the number you provide to arrange a delivery time. Truck delivery transit time is generally between 3-9 business days and varies depending on delivery location and conditions.
Will Call Service: "Will Call" service is available. Please make sure to contact us to confirm your order is ready for pick up prior to arriving.
Shipping Destinations: We ship to any residential or commercial address in the United States. Any change of delivery date or address must be received in writing and called in to our office within 5 days of placing your order. All of our doors are shipped safely in a secure pallet system, specifically designed to protect your Door.
All Other Countries: For international shipments please call or email us for details and shipping rates. Brokerage fees, import tariffs, customs duties, customs clearance fees and value added taxes, as well as other local taxes, may apply to international orders and are assessed by customs authorities at the time of delivery. The Pivot Door Company does not calculate these fees at the time of order, and they are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Please inquire with local customs authorities for more information regarding applicable fees. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser on all returned orders. Refunds will be for the merchandise amount only. The Pivot Door Company cannot refund any duties, taxes or fees paid on the order.
Processing Times: Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday. Please note, credit card processing can take up to 3 business days (depending on the accuracy of the information given to us by the customer.). For security reasons, voice confirmation may be required before we can process your credit card for payment.
Construction Time: Doors generally are built within 6 weeks. Times may vary based on current volume. If lead time is greater than 6 weeks you will be contacted.
Time for Delivery: Total time is based on the amount of time to get payment authorization, construct the door, and the transit time from the carrier.
Inspection and Claims: Customer is solely responsible to inspect the freight for shortages or signs of damage upon receipt of goods while the driver is still there. If there is any freight damage the customer must refuse the freight and note it (type and location) on the freight company’s paperwork. If the customer finds any freight damage after the driver has left the property it is the customer’s responsibility to file a freight claim with the freight company. When receiving package please check doors before releasing driver and note any damage on the delivery receipt. If the driver cannot wait on inspection, please note on the delivery receipt "potential damage subject to inspection." Please contact us immediately if you notice any damage to your product.

IF THE DELIVERY ADDRESS IS INACCESSIBLE OR INVALID, CUSTOMER AGREES TO PAY THE PURCHASE ORDER AMOUNT AND THE ADDITIONAL DELIVERY CHARGES. WE STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST PICKING UP THE ORDER FROM THE FREIGHT COMPANY`S TERMINAL OR ANY LOCATION OTHER THAN THE DELIVERY ADDRESS, SINCE PIVOTDOORCOMPANY.COM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES.
THE PIVOT DOOR COMPANY IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OTHER THAN THOSE MENTIONED ON THE FREIGHTCOMPANY`S DELIVERY RECEIPT. PLEASE ENSURE YOU INSPECT THE CONTENT OF YOUR ORDER BEFORE SIGNING THE DELIVERY FREIGHT RECEIPT. THE TRUCKER WILL NOT UNCRATE OR OPEN THE PACKAGE. THEREFORE, THE CUSTOMER WILL HAVE TO OPEN THE BOXES AND INSPECT THE CONTENTS.
Pivot Door Company guarantees ship dates; we do not guarantee delivery times. Ship times depend on the carrier. That being said, we have come to trust and see great reliability in Fedex Freight.
Standard 6 Weeks to Ship
Your door leaves the shop six weeks from order confirmation. Allow additional time for freight delivery. See map below for approximate transit times to your region.
Rush 3-1/2 Weeks to Ship
If 6 six weeks is not soon enough, we can get you a custom door in a month or less if you choose the Rush Option. The additional charge covers paying the extra hours worked by the production team and the cost of Fedex Freight Priority Shipping, which cuts down delivery time. The door will ship 3 1/2 weeks from the date of order confirmation. Allow additional time for freight delivery. See map below for approximate transit times to your region.
